inspiration...Gifts and God

Christmas. One of my favorite holidays (the first being Easter). This is mostly because of all the family and friend time. We celebrate with giving gifts to each other, and each year I try to come up with a creative way to wrap them all. This year, I found white shipping boxes and filled them with eco friendly crinkled brown paper cushion fill and added a wax paper lining sealed with a sticker. The outside features a champaign ribbon, cord, silver accented twine, and a vintage postcard with cream tag. We hand picked each postcard from a huge box at a flea market, some were a stretch, but it was a fun 30 minutes of digging. I think presentation is part of the gift.

Do you have any creative gift wrapping tricks?

I know that not everyone celebrates Christmas the same way or even at all. But as someone who does celebrate this holiday in its truest meaning, I just wanted to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and may you experience the true Father, the creator of Love, and the Prince of Peace, this season. He came to us in the form of a baby—a way we can fully understand—and one of His names is Emmanuel meaning "God with us." (Isaiah 7:14)

Grace and Peace for 2014
