I visited the Chicago Art Institute yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to see an entire paperweight exhibit. I would love to design a series of paperweights for Domesticated Desk! I find them to be gorgeous orbs that catch light, glimmer, and look fantastic on top of a stack of books. They just add a graphic and color hit to the desk. A quote from the exhibit that I really liked was by Truman Capote, who also had a paperweight collection and felt like they were "some fragment of a dream." The most gorgeous one of the bunch was by Paul Stankard "Honey Bee Swarm with Flowers and Fruit" specially made in honor of opening of the gallery.
