Easter, for most, is just about bunnies and chocolate eggs (both of which I think are awesome). But to me it means something totally different. It means love, hope, grace and forgiveness.

Four hundred years ago the New King James Bible was published. To celebrate that anniversary, the artist, Makoto Fujimura, dedicated his artistic skill to publishing four unique leather bound copies of the four gospels. This collection is gorgeous and worth watching the video that explains his process and shows the final result. Illuminated manuscripts were always one of my favorite art forms, and it is great to see a modern artist interpret it in an abstract way and be so emotionally moving through shape and color.
